Planning a group ski trip

  1. Book holiday dates early. Christmas, New Year and Family Day weekends fill first. Christmas and New Year have a 5-night minimum.
  2. Sort lift tickets ahead. Buy tickets and passes from Fernie Alpine Resort. Groups of 15 or more get discounted group lift tickets if they book at least 10 days ahead.
  3. Pre-book lessons and rentals. Group rates don't apply to lessons or rentals, so each person books online before arrival.
  4. Reserve dinners out. Resort restaurants recommend reservations for large groups. Or cook together in the chalet's kitchen.
  5. Add a powder day. For a group splurge, book a day of cat skiing with Island Lake Lodge or Fernie Wilderness Adventures.
