Getting around

  1. Rent a car at the airport. There are no car rental agencies in Fernie, so pick one up in Cranbrook, Calgary or Kalispell.
  2. Or take a shuttle. Several companies run airport shuttles from Calgary and Cranbrook, including Tunnel49, Resort Tours, Mountain Man Mike and Mountain Shuttle.
  3. Ride the town-to-resort shuttle. From December to April a shuttle runs hourly between downtown Fernie and the ski hill. A single ride is $4.
  4. Walk to the lifts. From the chalet, the Elk Chair is a 500 m walk.
